Emulators

Emuladors are softwares that let you run a software or a game originally made to another system. Example: run a NES game in a PC or run a Macintosh Software in a PC.

Of course, we have to have, besides the emulator, some softwares to run with it. In the case of videogames, this softwares are games, called ROM-images in the Internet, that trully are copy of the ROM of a cardige, converted in files. You can find some of them in the links section. You can only keep this 'ROM' for 24 hours, if you don't have the the original cardige. Choose your console, and good luck! SNES (Super Nintendo)

The mode 7, is a tridimensional mode, needed for some games, like F-Zero.There are three emulators with sound: ZSNES, ESNES and Snes9X.

Comments	It had a great speed increase in the last version because of the use of an Nlksnes-like screen update, and Assembly routines. Now this emulator supports sound too, and it's very faster than Snes9x, getting close to Nlksnes.

Comments	O SNES9X is faster SNES97 (DOS version), and it supports sound emulation. Both of them support Mode 7. Now it runs with Frameskip 1 on a Pentium 100!

Comments	Some people say that the versions above 1.4 corrupt the Windows Directory in some machines. This didn't happen in our tests. Anyway, we recommend the version 1.3. The versions non-DirectX require WIN G or Windows 95.

Comments	The shareware versions avelable to download only shows 8 colors, all of them varitions of yellow. This emulator supports Mode 7. Sometimes it freezes the computer.

MegaDrive (Sega Genesis)

There are 3 Sega Genesis emulators: GenEm, Genecyst and MegaDrive Dos, what doesn't have sound e runs only a few games. There are 2 MegaDrive Emulators under construction: Kyoto, and EmuX, that probably will be faster, because they're being developed in Assembler. Let's see…

Comments	This is the fastest emulator, and it has digital sound support. It runs very well many games and you can find a compatibility list at The Dump. The new version has many bug fixes, and supports many other Genesis features. If you use the 0.20 version, you should upgrade.

Comments	It's not as fast as Genecyst, but has a great sound emulation. It worths for those who have a powerful computer.It also runs some games that Genecyst doesn't.

Comments	It has FM sound support in the last release (0.19). But it's far from the real FM chip. Nowadays it has DOS and Win95 versions. It has been descontinued recently.

Nintendo

There are many emulators for NES, like Famicom, Pasofami, iNes , LandyNes, NESA. But NESticle is the fastest, and runs in computer without much power. That's why it's the only here..
